ABOUT SIMPSON-CANNON LAW FIRM

Business Litigation for Florida Business Owners

When a business dispute threatens revenue, ownership interests, key relationships, or the future of your company, every decision matters. We help business owners navigate complex business disputes and litigation matters, evaluate risk, and make informed decisions that support their long-term business goals.

More Than a Legal Dispute

Early in her legal career, Cynthia watched her parents navigate a business dispute that would affect their lives for years. They were hardworking business owners who were trying to do the right thing, yet the financial strain, uncertainty, and stress of the situation extended far beyond the business itself.

Looking back, she recognizes how much that dispute impacted every part of their lives. The burden wasn't limited to legal fees or business operations. It affected their peace of mind, their family, and their future.

That experience shaped the way Cynthia views business litigation today.

Behind every case is a business owner who has invested years building something meaningful. When a dispute threatens revenue, ownership interests, key relationships, or the future of the company, the impact reaches far beyond the courtroom.

That's why her approach is focused not only on the legal issues involved, but also on helping clients make sound business decisions that protect what they have worked hard to build.

Attorney

Cynthia Simpson-Cannon, Esq.

At first glance, it wouldn't seem that prosecuting criminals and litigating business matters would have much in common.  But for Cynthia Simpson-Cannon, a former Assistant State Attorney, they share the most important qualities of all: building and proving a case to the highest burden of proof in the law.  Ever since she graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1999, Ms. Simpson-Cannon has been protecting and fighting for the hardworking business owners.

In her five years at the Office of the State Attorney in West Palm Beach, Ms. Simpson-Cannon, known for her tenacity as a litigator, gained trial-by-fire experience that takes most civil trial lawyers decades to develop.  With little time to prepare for cases, she learned to think on her feet and to create her case strategies quickly and effectively.  She also learned how to counsel her clients through hard circumstances.  These qualities don’t just come in handy in the civil cases she now handles; they give her and her clients a crucial edge.

At the Simpson-Cannon Law Firm, P.A., Ms. Simpson-Cannon is involved in every aspect of the firm’s work and the cases it handles. But for the Florida native and University of Miami graduate, a passion for law is not enough. Compassion for her clients and the drive to deliver the results they deserve are what make a first-rate lawyer and an outstanding law firm.

Attorney

Cynthia Simpson-Cannon, Esq.

Cynthia Simpson-Cannon began her legal career in the courtroom as an Assistant State Attorney in West Palm Beach. During her five years at the Office of the State Attorney, she gained trial-by-fire experience that taught her how to think on her feet, evaluate facts quickly, and build a case under pressure.

That background still shapes the way she practices today.

With more than 24 years of courtroom experience, Cynthia brings a practical, trial-focused perspective to business litigation and commercial disputes. She understands that a case is not just about what has already happened. It is also about what may happen next, what can be proven, and what decisions make the most sense for the client and the business.

Clients rely on Cynthia for direct communication, honest guidance, and a clear explanation of their options. She takes the time to help clients understand the legal issues, the risks, and the possible paths forward so they can make informed decisions throughout the process.
